About Charleston EFT

EFT Charleston is a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering a community of Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) practitioners in Charleston, SC. Our missions are to support local EFT therapists in understanding and application of the EFT model for personal and professional development, and to connect individuals, couples, and families to high quality therapy services with EFT-trained clinicians in the lowcountry of SC. Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) is a rigorously tested, highly effective therapeutic approach developed by Dr. Sue Johnson and her colleagues and backed by a growing body of research. EFT is grounded in the knowledge that we need secure bonds with close others to survive and thrive. Emotionally Focused Therapist can help you name and tame destructive, repetitve negative patterns in your life and relationships; befriend and learn from your emotions; and achieve deeper security in yourself and your relationships. Therapy offers a safe and responsive place to discuss the concerns that are important to you, with the goal of strengthening your security in yourself and in your most important relationship(s).
